Research

CCRH research programmes in clinical research, drug proving, drug standardisation, medicinal plants and public health.

Research areas

CCRH runs eight research programmes across its institutes and units. Each follows modern scientific methods so that results can be used in practice and in public health.

Clinical Verification

Confirms, through structured observation in clinical practice, the symptoms recorded when medicines were proved, so practitioners can rely on them.

Clinical Research

Evidence-based trials, with blinding, objective outcomes and statistical analysis, on the safety and effectiveness of homoeopathic treatment.

Drug Proving

Homoeopathic pathogenetic trials on healthy volunteers, the first step before a medicine enters the materia medica.

Drug Standardisation

Pharmacognostic, physico-chemical and pharmacological standards for raw drugs and finished medicines.

Fundamental and Collaborative Research

Basic science on how homoeopathic medicines act, carried out with national and international institutes.

Medicinal Plants

About 70% of homoeopathic drugs come from plants. CCRH surveys, collects and cultivates authentic source material.

Public Health Programmes

Homoeopathy integrated with national programmes such as NPCDCS and RBSK, and programmes for mothers and children.

Epidemic Research

Medical relief camps and trials during outbreaks, including chikungunya in 2007 and influenza-like illness in 2010.

Extra Mural Research

The Council monitors Extra Mural Research projects carried out by institutions outside CCRH, and shares the findings through its journal, monographs and newsletters.
