How this website meets WCAG 2.1 AA and GIGW 3.0, with screen reader and display options.

This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW 3.0), so that everyone can use it, including people who use assistive technology.

What you can do on this website

  • Change text size with the A−, A and A+ buttons at the top of every page. Your choice is remembered.
  • Switch to high contrast with the contrast button. Your choice is remembered.
  • Use only a keyboard. Press Tab to move through links and controls. The first Tab shows a “Skip to main content” link.
  • Pause moving content. The announcements strip on the home page has a pause button, and stops while you hover over or focus it.
  • Read in Hindi or English. The language link opens the same page in the other language.
  • Know a file before you open it. Every download shows its type and size.
